Independent Emmy Noether Research Group
“Gauge Fields from Strings”
This independent junior research group is funded by the Emmy Noether Programme of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Our research addresses current issues in the framework of the string/gauge correspondence, emphasizing their relation and qualitative reference to quantum chromodynamics as well as the “cross-fertilization” of established gauge-theoretical tools to strings and vice versa.
- Our work One-loop spectroscopy of semi classically quantized strings: bosonic sector, by V. Forini, V. Giangreco Marotta Puletti, M. Pawellek and E. Vescovi, J.Phys. A48 (2015) 8, 085401, has been selected for inclusion in the Journal of Physics A – Highlights of 2015 collection.
- The Summer Semester Course Introduction to String Theory (held in English) will start on Monday, April 18 2016 at 9:00 in our IRIS building, Room 2’21, see schedule here.
