Title: Spinors in singular 2+1 geometries

Abstract:
The black hole in asymptotically AdS (2+1)-spacetime belongs to a family of geometries that includes naked singularities of various types. The existence of globally defined spin-1/2 fields in these geometries is reviewed and a few surprising features are exhibited, hinting at a rich vacuum structure.
