 plitudes\n\nAbstract: In this talk we will bound the space of tree-level\,
  2→2 graviton amplitudes in ten dimensions with both maximal and half-ma
 ximal supersymmetry. Using numerical S-matrix bootstrap techniques\, in wh
 ich we impose only basic consistency conditions such as unitarity\, causal
 ity\, and crossing\, we study the bounds on effective field theory coeffic
 ients in both setups. We show how closed and heterotic string theories ari
 se as consistent UV completions within their respective bounds. Employing 
 mild spectral assumptions\, we find that the extremal amplitudes\, i.e. th
 ose on the boundary of the allowed region\, are given by families of singl
 e Regge trajectory amplitudes. This suggests that UV completions of superg
 ravity must exhibit (at least some) stringy features.
