DESCRIPTION:HUBerlin_280115Black Hole Formation and Classicalization in Tra
 ns-Planckian Scattering\n\n\nAbstract:\nRecently\, Dvali and Gomez propose
 d a mechanism called classicalization to render\ntree level gravitational 
 scattering at (trans)-Planckian energies unitary through the formation\nof
  black holes. In this talk\, I will investigate this proposal by establish
 ing a\ndirect connection between gravitational scattering amplitudes at hi
 gh energies and\nunitarization by black hole formation. The main guideline
  for this will be an\nexplicit microscopic theory of black holes in terms 
 of a Bose-Einstein condensate of\ngravitons. I will explain which scatteri
 ng amplitudes are relevant for making the\nconnection precise and how to c
 ompute them efficiently relying on modern amplitude\ntechnology. In doing 
 so\, it will be seen that graviton scattering amplitudes exhibit\nkey feat
 ures of classicalization and the quantum reason for the dominance of black
 \nhole production will be identified.
