DESCRIPTION:This is part of the QFT-Colloquia offered by our RTG 2575 "Reth
 inking Quantum Field Theory"\nNotice the schedule: the Colloquium will be 
 at 12\, preceded by a meeting at 11:00 with the speaker (part of the "Mult
 iplicity Seminars" of the RTG).\n\nSpeaker: Prof. Silvia Nagy\, University
  of Durham\n\nTitle: From Symmetries to Wavefunctions\n\nAbstract:\nI will
  first give a pedagogical overview of the self-dual sectors of Yang-Mills 
 theory and gravity. These are not only excellent playgrounds for asking qu
 estions that are too difficult in the full theory\, but also starting poin
 ts for a perturbation theory towards the full theories. In this context\, 
 I will show how an appropriate treatment of the symmetries arising in thes
 e sectors can lead to extremely powerful Ward identities: the wavefunction
  is fully determined\, at all orders\, from the symmetry! I will comment o
 n future directions in both flat and curved background spacetimes.\n
