 n\nAbstract: In the quest to better understand the fundamental constituent
 s of nature\,\nexperimentalists at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) measure
  high-energy particle\ncollisions of at unprecedented levels of precision.
  In order to use this data to\ntest the validity of the Standard Model of 
 Particle Physics\, it is essential to\nhave a theoretical description of t
 he collision process at the corresponding\nlevel of precision. Given the d
 istinguished role that the strong force plays at\nthe LHC\, this necessita
 tes perturbative computations of “scattering\namplitudes” (sums of Fey
 nman diagrams) to high loop orders. These calculations\,\nnotoriously diff
 icult due to the complex theoretical structure of QCD\, place\nformidable 
 demands on both our conceptual and practical understanding of an\nage-old 
 friend: algebra. Indeed\, algebraic descriptions of the involved Feynman\n
 diagrams alone could nearly fill a university library.\n\nIn this talk\, w
 e dive into the modern world of how these feats of algebra are\nundertaken
  in precision physics computations. We showcase how traditional\ntechnical
  bottlenecks in computer algebra have been smashed with the\nintroduction 
 of number theoretical methods and how the newly opened frontiers\ndrive us
  to develop a deeper\, more geometrical\, understanding of algebra.
