 the AdS_5 × S^5 Superstring
DESCRIPTION:Spectrum and Quantum Symmetries of the AdS_5 × S^5 Superstring
 \n\nAbstract:\nThe AdS/CFT correspondence has dramatically changed our vie
 w on both \ngauge and string theories. In particular\, for the initial dua
 lity pair\, \nthe duality between N=4 SYM and the AdS_5 × S^5 superstring
 \, the \nunderlying quantum integrability led to rich understanding\, whic
 h \nallowed to devise powerful analytic methods. However\, quantization of
  \nthe AdS_5 × S^5 superstring from first principles proves extremely \nd
 ifficult and seems to be under control only for long semiclassical \nstrin
 g states\, such that the integrability based predictions for short \nstrin
 gs lack any testability.\nIn my thesis I investigated possible avenues to 
 take perturbative \nquantization of the AdS_5 × S^5 superstring beyond th
 e long string \nparadigm\, with the goal to obtain a better understanding 
 of the short \nstring spectrum and the quantum symmetries at play.
