Title: Analytic bootstrap and Witten diagrams for the ABJM Wilson line

Abstract:

Wilson Lines are fundamental, non-local observables in any gauge theory. Recent efforts have been successful in constructing defect theories, whose fundamental fields are operators inserted on these lines. In models with an AdS/CFT dual, the strong coupling description of these operator insertions are small deformations of the minimal surface solution in the appropriate string background. I will present the perturbative calculation of four-point correlators in the defect CFT defined on the 1/2-BPS Wilson line of ABJM theory (arXiv:2004.07849). I will cover the Witten diagram calculation, obtaining the correlation functions of the deformations of the minimal surface. Using symmetry considerations, I will argue the matching of fields/operators as well as their natural organisation in superspace, which relates the family of correlators to a single function of the 1D invariant cross ratio. Subsequently, I will show that this result can be found in an independant manner by selecting the minimal bootstrapped solution. Finally, I will present the CFT data that can be extracted from this.
