Title: “Integrability, Poisson-Lie Symmetry and Double Field Theory”
Abstract: There is an intriguing connection between integrability of 2D sigma-models, Poisson-Lie groups and T-duality. In my talk, I will shortly review these three (at the first glance quite different) concepts, explain why we should care about them and show how they are related. While this discussion mainly focuses on the worldsheet approach to string theory, concrete applications like the AdS/CFT correspondence also benefit from a low energy effective target space description in terms of SUGRA. Hence, in the second part of my talk I show how Double Field Theory, a rewriting of SUGRA which makes abelian T-duality manifest, can be extended to full Poisson-Lie T-duality. The resulting theory is a very powerful tool to explore the consequences of dualities and integrability in string theory further.
