Title: The IKKT Matrix Model and Twisted Holography
Abstract:
Twisted holography isolates protected subsectors of holographic dualities, where both sides can be described exactly. In this talk I will explore this idea for the IKKT matrix model, the dimensional reduction of ten-dimensional super Yang–Mills theory to a point. I will first explain how supersymmetric theories are formulated in the BV formalism and how twisting by a square-zero supercharge produces a simpler, topological-holomorphic theory that captures protected quantities. I will then work out the minimal twist of the IKKT model in detail and compare it with BCOV theory arising as the holomorphic twist of type IIB supergravity. Finally, I will discuss work in progress on the other twists of the matrix model, some of which only appear in the limit of infinitely many D-instantons.
