DESCRIPTION:centralcharge\n\nI will talk about the spectrum of  open strin
 gs states stretching between\ngiant gravitons and how their energies are o
 btained from perturbative\ncomputations in N=4 SYM and some of its deforma
 tions. I will show that the\nenergy of these states is controlled by centr
 al charge extension of the\ninfinite spin chain and how the finite boundar
 y conditions source\nnon-trivial valuers for the central charge.  I will 
 further argue how this\ncentral charge in a particular limit can be identi
 fied with the central\ncharge extension of the Coulomb branch of N=4 SYM.
