 on algebra formulation developed by K. Costello and O. Gwilliam\, we will 
 show how the algebra of quantum operators in a quantum mechanical system c
 an be obtained by going to the cohomology of a certain factorization algeb
 ra. We will show how to generalize this construction to also include the s
 tates of the system and how to compute quantum expectation values. We will
  introduce all necessary concepts in the talk and explain their connection
  to the path integral formulation. The talk will be based on 2112.11495 an
