 of the S-matrix"\n\nAbstract: We find a hidden algebraic structure inside 
 vacuum correlators and S-matrix elements of any QFT\, that of an L-infini
 ty (or strongly homotopy Lie) algebra. This generalises the algebraic str
 ucture of closed string field theory to arbitrary QFTs. We explain how th
 is L-infinity algebra "controls" deformations of the vacuum state.
