Sklyanin’s separation of variables (SoV) is arguably the most general method to solve integrable models. In this talk, I will explain how to apply SoV to calculate the correlation functions in the planar N=4 Super-Yang-Mills theory. I will discuss in detail how to construct the SoV states which form a complete basis of the Hilbert space. The explicit construction of SoV basis allows us to determine the essential ingredient for the computation of three-point functions. The resultant expression take the form of a matrix model like multiple integral.
